Prepare for the King!! As you have noticed the site has been updated :D! Sorry that the Safari browser for some reason resizes due to Chadd's slide show, I'm still messing with the site coding to see if I can correct this. Another common issue I have noticed is that Safari sometimes loads the page incorrectly, so a quick refresh solves the problem. Also I have added my 360 gamer card underneath the Contributors section. As more of us get 360's, I will add these to the site. Please take a sec to view these awesome pics!!

Yes! It's true, they are making a new Halloween flick... and Rob Zombie is at the helm! Normally I wouldn't even turn my head at a new Halloween flick. But I rather like Rob Zombie and not only is he friends with JC, he got the nod form Carpenter to make it his own. It's a pseudo remake/prequel! This is actually fresh and exciting for once! Do I think the original Halloween can be topped? No. But, I do believe Rob is extremely talented, and think he'll make one kick-a$$ flick! Looking forward to it!

The 20GB core console will launch 7 days in advance in Japan for 59800 Yen (November 11th) with open pricing for the 60GB version. Pricing has been revealed in NTSC and PAL regions with 20GB versions and 60GB versions costing $499 USD and $599 USD (November 17th) respectively, in Europe (November 17th) prices will be 499 EUR and 599 EUR respectively with 2 million units available at launch, another 2 million by the end of 2006 and another 2 million by March 31st, 2007. For those wondering, the core 20GB system does not include MemoryStick, WiFi, or HDMI-out funcationality and reportedly will not be upgradeable. The official $CE PS3 Press Release is also available in PDF file format with further details and complete specifications.

So they're forcing us to get the $600 one to we get all the features, not just a bigger hard drive?!? WTF!!! I really not feeling this guys, and have to say that i'm rather bitter. For me all it comes down to is Resident Evil and Silent Hill. So whichever system has it is the one i'm getting ;).

Ok, E3 is in full effect, and ALL the new systems have been announced... So we already have the 360 in the field, but now the Nintendo Wii (formerly "Revolution"... much cooler name... what were they thinking?!) Anyway, we also have PS3!

360-

Well, still waitin' to see what games come for this thing... might get better, might get worse, and the price is ehhh... at $299 for the core system, and $399 for the 20 GB HD pack... so again still waiting on that front.

game wise, 360 has Resident Evil!!!, Halo 3... yadda yadda,

PS3-

Here goes (Official word from E3):

"Sony's next system to come in two configurations, 20GB hard drive-equipped version to cost $499, 60GB hard drive-equipped model to go for $599."

Oh boy... umm... I understand that PS3 will probably be the biggest monster of them all power wise... but but that amount of money for a game machine is, well, LUDICROUS. I was hoping for better pricing. Guess, Kutaragi-san wasn't kidding when he said it won't be cheap and we should work overtome hours... ok.

They also took out Dual Shock vibration... yep... gone. they lost their court case and can no longer use it. BUT, instead they added motion sensing like the Wii controller and it is wireless so that could be a plus.

Resident Evil, John Woo's Stranglehold, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Metal Gear look stellar! So might be a good luanch line-up for once.

Wii-

Well, Nintendo is looking less than confident, and they haven't released solid specs, and or a price, but $2-250 seems to be the consensus. Again, hate the name, and still want more solid info. And stop already with the cryptic BS, give solid info!

Newly announced: exlusive Sonic, Resident Evil (awesome!), Monkey Ball, Plus i Think more originals might find there home here... but we'll see!

Verdict-

Not sure yet! But, to be honest, even though the name is the worst thing ever (nothing new for Nintendo though! lol) I think I am still feelin' a Wii (oh the non-stop piss jokes!) Again what were they thinking?! Cause the games sound really out there and it will be more REASONABLE in price. 360 I just don't care enough about "yet", and PS3... sounds stellar! but I am NOT paying that much money... way too expensive in my opinion, so will wait for price drops prob. And if you think about it, you could get a 360 and a Wii for the price of one PS3... hmmm. I don't know! So we'll see!!!!

Please get some banter going and let's get some opinions!

Well, this is AWESOME news to me. Don't know if anyone else will care too much at this point, but wanted to post it anyway since I am excited! Seems Yuji Naka has officialy left Sega and formed a new game company called PROPE, Ltd.! Since Sega is, well, not the same anymore, this is exactly the news I wanted to hear! One of my top 2 favorite game designers, and now he has creative freedom... might be the start of something great! Here's to hoping!

Naka-san, thanks... you have stolen many-a-hour away from the Sneakbunch with your killer games. Sonic... NiGHTS... Phantasy Star... Space Harrier... Burning Rangers... Chu Chu Rocket... Samba De Amigo... just to name a few.... Always full of heart and creativity, my hats-off to you, and best of luck!!!!!

The news has been going about on the internet for a while now and now the news is official the following news was posted on Sega's official website Naka san was responsible for 2004's Puyo Puyo Fever for dreamcast and was present at last years game convention where he accepted a DCS T-shirt from Max.

Effective June 1, 2006, Mr. Naka will leave his post as Creative Officer for Research and Development at SEGA Corporation and will become CEO and President of PROPE, Ltd. Mr. Naka has been the creative force behind such SEGA brands as Sonic The Hedgehog and Phantasy Star. SEGA will make a 10% investment in PROPE, Ltd. and will be the company's exclusive global publisher. This landmark announcement between SEGA and Mr. Naka is the first arrangement to emerge from SEGA's Game Creator Independence Program, which will be organized to promote entrepreneurial business spin-offs with its internal development talent

We at DCS have learnt that ten members of SEGA's Sonic Team joined Naka at PROPE, which has a starting capital of 10 million yen (10% of which comes from SEGA). SEGA can excercize a "first dibs" option for publishing games made at PROPE, though if SEGA rejects a title produced by the new studio, Naka san would then be free to approach other publishers."

Hey guys, well before I go on to the goods, how the hell is everyone?! Work, school, life, love, hate, weight... gimme some bones to chew on!

Wow, I don't know that there has ever been a time when we were all as busy as we are now. Craziness. I had the pleasure of having the past 4 days off and am just starting to come to my senses... and now it's over!!! lol! Anyway, hope all is well with everyone, and can't wait till the summer! I can't believe as of April 26th it has been a year since I ventured overseas... *wiping sweat off forehead now*!! Really crazy!

In retrospect, this was hands-down the most challenging year of my life (so far! lol!) and hasn't come and gone without it's share of insanity. Leaving friends and family, adjusting to a new culture, and making ends meet is still a challenge I deal with everyday... but everyday, it gets a little bit easier to handle. So many things happened this past year, and it all happened so fast, that i don't know where to look back to! lol!

But ok...Looking back... I just want you guys to know, that there is and was no way in ultra sunny hell that I would have been able to make it this far without your brotherly support. Just realized that my one year anniversary passed here, and wanted to let you guys know how much I have appreciated all you have done for the both of us. Well, since this is kinda my "new year", lol, just wanted to say that... you know there is a constant battle for each and every one of us to make the most of our lives... and though we all have our ups-and downs, I think we are all doing a pretty damn good job thus far! Will there be more obstacles? ... of course... will we get pissed? ... even more so... BUT, we will also smile, laugh (extrememly hard!), and watch each others backs through the $h!t... of this I have no doubt!!

Well, enough of my horseSh!t, Here's to another fruitful and challenging year for all of us!! KANPAI!!!

We all went to Chinatown this past weekend and it was a blast! Took lots of pics so look for em' on the dojo! I'll try to update by tomorrow! Love all the new profiles by the way! very funny stuff!

Oh and for fun, I am a little out of the loop on what is on U.S. TV these days, but just saw Apple's new ads on the site! Pretty funny i thought! I recently came across this new band... they're called Alluvion and you can download their album for $5 at http://www.alluvion.net/. I'm really not sure how to categorize bands these days.... but I guess if I had to I'd describe them as ecoteric-alt-hard-rock... but that's not really doing them any justice. Really good stuff... independant music is really where it's at these days. And it's great when you discover a band like this... it lets you say toall those snooty indie-rock kids "Hey man! You pompous ass-clownsdon't have a monopoly on independent music!"

Anyway, check them out if you're looking for something new.

Apple iPhone?

Saw this today. May or may not be a rumor...but I'm leaning toward it being a reality. Apple published in Forbes magazine in November that they want to release a cell phone/iPod hybrid within 12 months. It appears that it will be a camera/phone/mp3player/email retriever at this point. Got me wondering how much memory they can fit in there and how much it will cost.

Looks pretty legit. I'm looking forward to the finished product. I think portable stuff is the way for Apple to grow even more...for whatever reason people still look to PC's when buying a computer, but obviously iPod is the first thing in anyone's head when you mention "mp3 player." Hopefully they can grab a huge chunk of the cell phone market as well. I mean, people already pay in excess of $300 for a cell phone. We'll see.
