The 20GB core console will launch 7 days in advance in Japan for 59800 Yen (November 11th) with open pricing for the 60GB version. Pricing has been revealed in NTSC and PAL regions with 20GB versions and 60GB versions costing $499 USD and $599 USD (November 17th) respectively, in Europe (November 17th) prices will be 499 EUR and 599 EUR respectively with 2 million units available at launch, another 2 million by the end of 2006 and another 2 million by March 31st, 2007. For those wondering, the core 20GB system does not include MemoryStick, WiFi, or HDMI-out funcationality and reportedly will not be upgradeable. So they're forcing us to get the $600 one to we get all the features, not just a bigger hard drive?!? WTF!!! I really not feeling this guys, and have to say that i'm rather bitter. For me all it comes down to is Resident Evil and Silent Hill. So whichever system has it is the one i'm getting ;).
